Hello everyone! I’m Allison Dawson, the proud owner of Dawson Divers Ltd. I live in Middle Bass, OH on a small island just north of the more well-known Put-in-Bay village and South Bass Island. I have been serving the Bass Islands since Dawson Diver’s founding in October 2020; the year I successfully completed my PADI Open Water Instructor qualifications.

Diving since 2011, I still remember my first breaths of air under the waves of the ocean during a high school marine biology trip to Forfar Field Station on Andros Island, Bahamas. Fast forward to 2021 and I found myself certifying students via the same program I myself visited ten years prior (down to the day)!

Seeing the joy on students’ faces as they unlock their own personal unexplored world is priceless. It’s not just about teaching the technical aspects of diving; it’s about sparking a lifelong passion for the underwater realm.

While teaching is what got me into diving as a profession, I now primarily occupy a unique niche for my island neighbors and visitors. Assisted by my fiance Jon, a USCG Licensed Captain, we can help recover car keys and phones, fix mooring ball chains, inspect ferry docks, and on occasion provide aid in salvaging boats alongside the local TowBoatUS company(s).
